Employment/Military Record: Four years in the United States Air Force as a security policeman before his nearly 25 years of employment as a Muskegon Heights fire fighter and police officer. During his career, he has also worked part-time for the City of North Muskegon Police Department and the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department.

Other Offices: In his first run for elected office in 2012, Terry was elected county commissioner, defeating a five-term Republican incumbent. In 2014, Terry easily won re-election and then was elected chair of the board by his fellow commissioners.
Political Activities: From 2011-2012, Terry served as a Muskegon County road commissioner.
Community Activities: Member of several service organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars Men's Auxiliary Post #8846, American Legion Post #9, Muskegon Northside Lions Club, Muskegon Heights Optimist Club, Muskegon Fraternal Order of Eagles, Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, and the Polish Falcons of America. Terry also served on the Legends Flight committee in 2014, which organized an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., for area World War II veterans.
