Born: July 7, 1957
Employment/Military Record: Former social studies teacher specializing in African-American studies; previously worked as legislative analyst on Speaker Curtis Hertel's staff, and former special assistant to Wayne County executive Ed McNamara; founder and owner of political consulting/marketing firm, Dragon Slayer.
Community Activities: Youth director at the Inner City Community Center; homeless counselor at Operation Get-Down; reading instructor, drill team instructor, basketball coach at a local Detroit school; domestic missionary at the Shrine of the Black Madonna; founder and organizer of Block Clubs in Detroit and the surrounding areas; director of Evangelism at Martin Luther King Jr. Presbyterian Church.
