The 1463rd was tasked with detainee operations at Camp Bucca, located near Basra Iraq. Iraq's main shipping port Umm Qasr is located in Basra. Total 21 years military service

Political Activities: Jeremy was appointed to the City of Eaton Rapids Planning Commission. Jeremy served from 1998 to 2005, a nine-year stint including three years as Commission Chair. During his time the City undated its City Code, Zoning Ordinance and Master Plan. During the 113th session of Congress Jeremy served as Constituent Services Representative. He was on the staff to Congressman Dr. Joe Schwarz. Congressman Schwarz served in the House of Representatives from 2005-06 representing Michigan's 7th Congressional District. During this time Jeremy provided council on military, veterans, and agricultural issues. In the State of Michigan Legislature Jeremy worked with State Representative Rick Jones. As a Legislative Assistant Jeremy's primary responsibility during this time was constituent relations, following legislation through the legislative process and advising with various subjects confronting Michigan's 71st State House District
