Education: Graduated from Thornapple Kellogg High School in Middleville; one year of Liberal Arts at Grand Rapids Community College; one year of business classes through Northwestern Michigan College and Mid-Michigan Community College
Employment/Military Record: I worked five years for the Social Security Administration. I worked two years for the Cadillac Credit Bureau. And, I've been a self- employed business owner in the Cadillac area since 1988. I owned Check Alert Systems for 24 years, before selling it in 2012. I still own the company I started in 2001, Dragon Payment Systems, Inc. It is located in Lake City.
Community Activities: I have been a longtime supporter of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. For over 15 years, I sponsored a corporate team in Missaukee County, raising several thousand dollars. I also chaired the Missaukee County Relay for Life for 2 years.
